Feb 11...The Dying Rose

I thought this was really cool because it looks like the cold weather locked the color into the dying rose.

Feb 10...THe Purple Weed

This is a weed I found in my back yard. It has color...so I took a picture.

I use to pick a bunch of these as a little girl and give them to my mother. It wasn't 'til I pick them for Me-Ma that I found out that they were weeds. She was allergic to them. Broke my heart.

Feb 9...The Aloe Plant

I remember that my Me-Ma had an aloe plant. That thing was so huge. It must of been at least two feet wide, and over a foot tall. Really thinking about it seemed even bigger than that. It was the first thing we went for when we got burned.

This is the only plant in my house. It is the aloe plant the my mother-in-law gave us. It is the only thing that looks alive on our land.

Feb 6...The Sunset

One of the many sunsets I watch. This one is not far from my mother's house. My husband & I was driving down the road and I yelled, "STOP!" He slammed on his brakes and turned to me and asked, "You want to take a picture of something?" How's that for my husband knowing me.

Feb 5...The Trails

I really love this shot. This is the best straight out of camera I have ever taken. This was taken after the game Home Opener last year. I know, I know, not from this year, but it's all I have.

Feb 3...Chelsi in #22

Chelsi, she is such a good girl. She has been a really big help to me. She is so sweet & tender hearted. This past summer my back was acting up really bad. I could hardly get out of bed, much less keep my house clean. She would come over and help me everyday. She didn't have, too.

But, she did. All I could afford was $1 a day, so I really don't think the money was the only reason she came over. I was so greatful. When my husband came home, many times, I would be crying. I really don't know what I would have done without her. She's my Chelsi Doll & I love her.

Feb 2..Old MHS Stadium

I have lived in Mansfield nearly my whole life. I have to admit, the only time I have ever gone to a football game was when my brother was in High School and he played in the band. I use to have so much fun watching him play the trumpet. His face would get all red and he would look like he was going to explode. He is amazing though, he is the only person I have ever seen that could play the trumpet while smiling. Looks pretty hard to me.

Feb 1...Trey at the MAC

This is Trey. You know how I said, in one of my older posts that almost all the kids in my life call me Aunt Missa. Not him. He calls me, "Aunt Meme."
Today we went to the MAC. (Mansfield Activity Center) What fun. It was the first time I had ever gone, but he goes every week. Today, he was shooting hoops. He was really good. He would stand between 2 & five ft. away from the basket,and make it half of the time. That's better odds than I have when I shoot hoops.......on the little one. Look out! He might be a rich NBA star.

Jan 31...Baseball

This is my Stephen. He loves sports. This is a picture of when we took him on a tour of Ranger Stadium, then to the game. It was a blast. He is one of my miricles. You see... he was hit by a truck doing 60 mph, trying to keep his dog out of the street. He should have died, but God had other plans. He was hit on Nov. 1st and wasn't expected to be out of bed until after the first of the year. He was back in school the about the second week in December. Isn't God good.

Okay this wasn't taken today. But it is a sports picture and will have to do.

Jan 26...I went to the Doctor

O.k. this is cheating just a little bit. I didn't get a chance to go out today and get a water picture so I am posting one from the other day when I went to the doctor the other day. That is why you see snow. This is the only week the Dallas area has had snow, real snow ...not ice, in the last ten years.

Jan 25...The Creek

This creek holds a memory for me and my brothers. The story goes something like this. When I was about a year old I was staying with my brothers at the house. They put me down for a nap and decided to leave me to go hunting down at the creek. After awhile they saw my mother driving by and they took off running trying to beat my mother back to the house. When my mother walked into the house she found me awake and sitting on the table with a butcher knife in my hands. Lets just say that when my brothers came running in the house out of breath they were wishing they had taken a nap with me. I think that was the only time they ever wished that my dad would have spanked them.

I was really suprized at the green grass since we just had a really bad freeze.
