My great grandmother used to talk about going to Switch Junction. No one that I talked to had ever been or really new what it was. My mother found it a few months back and took me to it. It looks like it use to be "town". It had a water well, blacksmith, general store, & livery stable. I found lots of old stuff here.

April 26...Pump-jack

Pump-jacks are one of my husbands favorite things. I like them because they are a part of what makes Texas, Texas! You can imagine how excited I was when I saw the bluebonnets growing all around and a little one in the background.

If you have read my settings, you can tell that I did not take this picture at night. I darkened the sky and adjusted levels and did so burning to get this effect. I really like the role the shadows play in this picture.

April 23...35mm Minolta

SOOC is all I know

It doesn't get much older than 35mm film camera. That is what I used when I took this picture about 7 years ago. I used b&w film, so no action was done. It looks even worst here than it does on paper. I had to scan it and it was printed on matte paper. This is my idea of old.

April 22... Pure Joy

This was the first time that I had made a tent for Trey. We used a sheet and the table and chairs. He thought it was so neat. He kept wanting me to get in it and play with him. He laughed almost the whole time he was in it. There is nothing like the pure joy on a child's face.

These are my nieces. They are best friends. This is the night they both stayed over. They had so much fun. They were so silly. This was the hideout they made on my couch. Using the cushions.

April 20...Poor Baby

Poor baby! He had another rough day. First he fell down stairs and scraped his dome (as my husband would say). Then he hit his head on the corner of the table. Then he tripped over his own two feet. HE was soooooo tired of crying he couldn't stand it any more.

This is the kitten formerly known as Spike. The kids have changed his name so much, That I don't know what his name is now.This was the day he was rescued from the park. He was cuddled up with Belle and they were taking a nap on the couch.

Took this at my nephews wedding. I just love the way Corey and Belle posed for me. They had problem doing this over and over, while I got the perfect picture.

Just so you know, this is not a yawn! He was so mad that we were all taking pictures of him. He got up to the highest point and hissed at us. You could hear him through the inch of glass. He was not happy.

Today was the first performance of

"Heaven's Gates & Hell Flames",

at church. It was so awesome. I actually went all three nights, because it was so good. When I saw this picture, I decided there was nothing in the world more slimy than Satan.

The Bible says, in John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly."

You see, Jesus Christ, the son of the Most High God, was killed on a cross FOR the sins of you and me. Then on the third day he arose from the dead. "I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

It's Easter! There is nothing that I enjoy more, than knowing that Jesus is alive and is coming back for me. When he does I will not have to hear, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" Matthew 7:23, but he will welcome me into heaven, to be with him, FOREVER!
